Glitter Bomb Video Partially Fake By NASA Engineer

It appears portions of the Glitter Bomb Video that went viral on youtube was partially faked! Mark Rober built an high-tech glitter bomb to prank & deter thieves. It turns out that some of the video portions were faked by friends or associates of his. The creator, Mark Rober, apologized for the deception.

Rober deleted about a minute and a half from his original YouTube video yesterday and reuploaded it. YouTube allows you to do this without losing the hits from the video. According to Mark Rober, one of the people he lent the glitter bomb to had friends/neighbors pose as thieves on the video.

“It appears in these two cases, the ‘thieves’ were actually acquaintances of the person helping me,” Rober tweeted. “From the footage I received from the phones which only record at specific times, this wasn’t clear to me. I have since removed those reactions from the original video (originally 6:26-7:59).”

Do you think this video tainted the public trust in Mark Rober’s Videos in the future? Will you continue watching his youtube videos anyway?
