With the recent outbreak of privacy issues on facebook uncovered, it may be time to consider backing up your Instagram photos just in case. If your like many thinking about getting rid of facebook or instagram, when you delete Instagram, your photos go along with it. Unless you back them up first.
Open the Instagram app on your phone -> Tap on the profile button at the bottom right side of the page -> Tap the Menu button (the three line stacked on top of each other) -> top-right of the screen -> Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu (it’s at the bottom) ->
Toward the middle of the next menu, you’ll see a listing for “Data download.” Touch it and then tap “Request download.” The download won’t happen right away so wait for the notification via email saying its ready to download. This will ready to download and will include a link for you to create your backup.
The process can take up to 48 hours. Once you have the backup, you can delete instagram or enjoy knowing you have a backup of all your photos from instagram.
Do you currently keep a backup of your instagram photos? Or do you solely rely on instagram as your photo backup tool of choice?
